Welcome back to the financial crisis that defined a generation

In this specialized committee, students will use the gift of hindsight to rewrite recent history. Perhaps among the most complex economic crises in recent decades, the effects of the 2008 housing crisis and subsequent crash represented more than just an economic collapse, it highlighted exorbitant flaws in the pre-existing United States economic system and the fragility of welfare systems. In this committee, delegates must determine how to properly address the short and long term consequences of such a complex issue in both the domestic and global capacity.
