Letter from the Crisis Director:

This is a fictional Star Wars committee that takes place immediately after the fall of the Empire in Return of the Jedi. Taking place in 5ABY, a new council has come together to decide the fate of the New Republic in the aftermath. Delegates are responsible for establishing a new order, addressing concerns such as the reestablishment of the Jedi Order, the role of former Imperial officers, whispers of the emergence of the Empire (the First Order), while balancing important issues such as rebuilding infrastructure, economic concerns and reestablishing trade, and intergalactic diplomacy. 

Alexa is a senior majoring in International Law and Institutions with minors in Environmental and Sustainability Studies as well as Spanish. This is her 7th year of Model UN, having both competed in IndianaMUNC in high school and helped staff the conference for several years. She has experience working for environmental advocacy groups and is passionate about international environmental resilience. In her free time, she enjoys reading, dancing, and spending time with animals.
