South Sudan Constitutional Convention, 2011

The world’s youngest country wasn’t built in a day, rather, it was constituted and informed through years of intense military conflict and strife. The story of the South Sudanese Republic began nearly seventy-five years ago and has culminated in this historical moment. Now, as the nascent country learns to crawl independently onto the world stage, delegates must craft its foundational document: the Federal Constitution of the Republic. In this committee the brightest legal and political minds from across the country will be challenged to define their vision of a newly free nation.
